Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) leads Australia’s preparation and participation at the Commonwealth Games. Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of the Ticketing Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Implement CGA's ticketing procedures and allocation model
  • Liaise with Glasgow 2026 on ticket allocations, request alternatives if required.
  • Manage ticket allocation and distribution for all key client groups.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date ticketing records for reconciliation.
  • Communicate with key client groups to manage expectations and timelines.
  • Be available for calls or virtual meetings with Australian stakeholders if/as required.
  • Liaise with CGA's Finance Manager to arrange invoicing
  • Manage ticketing operations in the lead-up to and during the Games including:
    • Initial distribution of tickets via the Ticketmaster portal
    • Ongoing allocation and fulfilment through the Ticketmaster portal
  • If required by Glasgow 2026, actively manage real-time ticket distribution during the Games for Athlete Family & Friends programs as teams move through competition stages.
  • At Games time actively monitor allocations in real time and reassign or on-sell unused tickets
  • Prepare post-Games reconciliation report and recommendations for future cycles
  • Any other duties as required by the Chef de Mission, Team Executive, FA Lead or CGA CEO during the Games.

Desired Skills and Experience

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Eligible to travel to the UJ with a valid ETA/vis and passport (valid to at least February 2027)
  • Hold a Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • Proven ticketing experience, including allocation models, systems and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with the Commonwealth Games or similar multi-sport events. If applicable, capacity to reassign any other professional commitments for the duration of the Games Time and any associated pre-Games duties during the Planning Phase.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines effectively.
  • Remain composed under pressure and make clear, decisive decisions during unexpected operational or ticketing issues.
  • Communicate effectively across functional areas to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Respect and adapt to cultural sensitivities, including accessibility requirements.
  • Be physically and mentally fit for Games time operations.
